Small load hardness tester HP30S

The Fraunhofer Institute for Ceramic Technologies and Systems IKTS conducts applied research and development in the field of high-performance ceramics. The three locations in Dresden and Hermsdorf (Thuringia) together form the largest ceramics research institute in Europe.

Hegewald & Peschke has now equipped the testing laboratory of the Fraunhofer Institute IKTS Ceramic Technologies and Systems Dresden with a HP30S low-load hardness tester. The HP30S is a hardness tester for automatic hardness testing according to Vickers, Brinell, Rockwell and Knoop standards. It covers the load range from HV0.1 to HB62.5, whereby the test load range is freely definable. The number of measuring points can be freely selected. The position of the measuring points is also freely selectable.

For the evaluation of the KIC (crack resistance) the hardness testing software HardWin XL is used. With the software HardWin XL a series evaluation is also possible. In addition, data can be exported to other programs such as MS Excel or as PDF. Test reports can also be created with this software.

A USB camera and optics allow a test evaluation in the entire load range.
