On 18th January 2018, the Freiberg regional group of the Association of German Engineers (VDI) visited Hegewald & Peschke Meß- und Prüftechnik GmbH. Students and scientific staff of the TU Bergakademie Freiberg as well as interested members of the VDI participated in a company presentation with a subsequent tour.
The event focused on the technical challenges in measurement and testing technology. Dr. Jan Hegewald opened the event with a short company presentation before he spoke about the possibilities, engineering challenges and the wide range of products offered by Hegewald & Peschke Meß- und Prüftechnik GmbH. The event also included a tour through the company and a demonstration of the metal tensile test on threaded specimens with an inspekt table 250kN, equipped with a connection specimen holder and long stroke extensometer.
The Association of German Engineers (VDI) is a non-profit association made up of engineers of all disciplines from various industries. In addition to engineers, the network also includes academics from other disciplines such as computer science, natural sciences and mathematics. The VDI offers its members cross-generational experiences - based on different backgrounds, points of view and opinions as well as professional and personal networks.
We would like to thank the Freiberg regional group of the Association of German Engineers (VDI), in particular Mr. Wilhelm Mottitschka, for the interest and would be pleased to see one or two students during an internship, a project/final paper or as an applicant!
