Last month, Trimet Aluminium SE in Harzgerode purchased a Universal Testing Machine of the type Inspekt table 50 kN from Hegewald & Peschke. Especially standard tensile tests according to DIN EN ISO 6892-1 shall be performed with the testing machine. Tensile testing for metallic materials at room temperature is defined with this standard. The mechanical properties of the specimens are determined here. Furthermore, compression and bending tests are planned with the Universal Testing Machine delivered. The testing machine accessories include wedge-type holding devices, connection sample holders and a MFX-200 longitudinal extensometer.
TRIMET Aluminium processes primary and secondary aluminium, especially at different locations in Germany. At the Harzgerode site reusable aluminium is reclaimed from aluminium scrap, that is, from secondary aluminium. The mechanical properties of aluminium at room temperature shall be tested with the Universal Testing Machine delivered.
